#20 Arcade Fire

They hit right in the feels. Their third album The Suburbs is a timeless classic, and the rest of their albums are pretty good too.

#19 KoRn

Well just the first 5 or 6 albums. KoRn started off as innovators breaking down many walls in the metal spectrum. Their 4th album Issues was their peek, after that they slowly started running out of ideas and eventually became a parody of themselves. Everything after their 6th album has just been embarrassing garbage, but KoRn will forever be legends.

#18 Protest The Hero

They probably should rank way higher on the list. Their guitar work is pretty insane, so are the drums and bass. Never has their been a band so fast and heavy yet with a singer that can actually sing, Rody has a voice of a drunk heavenly angel. Luke Hoskin's doesn't wait for until the end for a guitar solo, he shreds majestically nonstop from start to finish. From their first album to the last they just keep getting better.

#17 Orgy

They were way under rated and way ahead of their time and ended too soon. The guitarists Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck then created Julien-K which amazing as fuck also.

#16 Metallica

Metallica's first couple albums set the bar high for what metal could be. Although they took a nose dive in the 2000's with some pretty stinky albums, they will forever be metal gods. Fuck all the Lars haters, he helped lay down the foundation for the existence of metal.

#14 Primus

It's like if you combined rock with cartoons and threw in philosophical folk tales into the mix. Also Les Claypool is unanimously the greatest bass player of all time.

#13 Faith No More

Probably should've been in the top 10. They're like the polar opposite of Metallica, instead of going fast and heavy they showed what else could be done in the realm of rock/metal. Angel Dust is their magnum opus.

#11 Hella

It's like if you threw every sort of rock, punk and metal rule into a blender, threw in a dash of video game music influence, turned on that blender, and then the spinning motion within the blender was the tempo for the drums. Zach Hill is one of the most insane drummers of all time and Spencer Seim is a maniac genius with the guitar. There's No 666 In Outerspace is one of the top 5 best albums of all time.

#9 Job For A Cowboy

It's like if you were a Doom Slayer and got dropped off in the middle of hell with a shotgun and a sword and had to murder your way through endless ranks of demons and demi-gods.

#8 Tera Melos

They sound like what might happen if you took acid while watching Nickelodeon and then you ended up in the show on some bizzare adventure to seek wisdom from an ice cream truck driver.

#7 Dillinger Escape Plan

DEP is like if a crashing plane landed perfectly on train tracks but then collided with a train, but after the explosion Nicholas Cage walks away unscathed and his hair is blowing in the wind.

#6 Deftones

Pure 100% all natural intense emotion extracted straight from the scrotum. Unlike KoRn, Deftones never embarrassed themselves with bad albums. For over 30 years Deftones have continously evolved and switched it up, leaving all the clone copy cat bands in the dust with every album they put out.

#5 Xiu Xiu

Xiu Xiu is simply amazing as fuck, with every amazing golden album they release they continuously push the boundaries of what can be music. Oh did a large heavy bookshelf in the library suddenly fall over and crush a baby to death? Let's capture that on a microphone and throw a snake charmer flute and dance beat over it.

#4 The Fall Of Troy

Their albums are insane and their live shows are chaos. If you never got to see them live it sucks to be you bra. Thomas Erak is a guitar wizard, his hyper hybrid shreds serving as both lead and rhythm while singing at the same time is just bonkers, even 20 plus years into their existence there is still no guitarist/singer that can touch him.

#1 HORSE the band

Their albums are ahead of the time by like 125 years and their live shows are as fun as a carnival ride that fell off the hinges and went rolling through traffic.
